Radis Community Care has an opportunity for a Team Leader in our Broadstreet Supported Living Service in Coventry.

The Supported living  service supports 19 males and females with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) and Mild Learning disabilities in their own apartment.

We provide support for daily living skills and help support with socialisation. providing specialised person centred support. Radis recognise each person as an individual and provide a unique service which is tailored to their specific needs and provide a consistent approach throughout their life.

The role

As a Team Leader you will provide support to our Supported Living Services, providing specialised person centred support. Radis recognise each person as an individual and provide a unique service which is tailored to their specific needs and provide a consistent approach throughout their life.

To work alongside the Managers of our Supported Living Services- overseeing the smooth running of these services, completing regular audits, checks, supervisions, spot checks, updating and reviewing support plans and working to ensure that individuals achieve their outcomes.

The role will require you to schedule / allocate work to the Support Workers, support with medication, personal care tasks and covering shifts within the services.

The role may include manual handling, medication administration, personal care, food preparation, household tasks, supporting individuals to keep in contact with family and friends, accessing the community and attending appointments  therefore a driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.

Skills and Qualifications required for the role

Previous experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities, autism and mental health issues is essential.

Previous experience as a Team Leader will be advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care working towards Level 3.  You will have good written and verbal communication skills and have a willingness to learn in line with clients needs and expectations.

A driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.

About the role

As a Team Leader you will provide support to our extra care complex, providing specialised support to individuals. Radis recognise each person as an individual and provide a unique service which is tailored to their specific needs and provide a consistent approach throughout their life.

You will be the first point of contact for the package, providing supervisions / meetings and support to the Care Workers. The role will require you to schedule / allocate work to the Care Workers ensuring personal care and all care tasks are client specific. You will also support with medication, personal care tasks and offer support within the community.

You will also be required participate in the on-call rota and provide cover for care and Radis’ housing related support duties when emergency cover is required.

This role requires you to undergo an enhanced DBS check. A driving licence with access to a vehicle will also be advantageous as some travel may be required for the role.
